Student Ministry
At First Baptist we value worship, discipleship, missions, ministry, and fellowship for all people to enter jointly into a lasting and growing relationship with God. In our student ministry, we seek to engage middle school, high school, and college age students in a deep, meaningful, and lasting way that leads to the development and ownership of a faith that lasts.

We invite and encourage everyone to come and experience all that God is doing in and through our ministry together.

Every week, we meet for worship, Bible study, relationship building, and fun fellowship through our various small and large group programs and activities. Our student ministry is student and adult led and finds its heartbeat in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

Throughout the year, we take times to retreat and reflect. We also take time to serve in missions locally, regionally, and internationally.

Our students are a combined Middle School and High School Class. Our curriculum comes from “Shine”and involves biblical studies, videos, skits and interactive activities. Throughout the year we engage in meaningful lessons that challenge the mind, heart, and hands.

On Wednesday nights our students are broken into various small groups based on age. The groups engage in Christ-centered discussions about everyday life issues and struggles. The small group ministry is intended to help students openly discuss their faith in accountability groups.

Youth Group at First Baptist is a vibrant ministry that serves youth in 6th – 12th grade and their families. Youth meets regularly on Wednesday evenings and Sundays. We worship, fellowship, have devotions, small groups, meals, games and so much more! In addition to the regular activities we enjoy many other activities together such as lock-ins at the church, Fall Rush weekend, Elevation in the spring, mission trip during the summer, and many other fun activities to facilitate fellowship and relationship building with Christ and fellow youth.

These are mission based group sponsored by the WMU organization. Acteens is a group for young ladies in 6th – 12th grades. Challengers is a group for young men in 6th – 12th grades. Both groups are committed to hands-on missions within the church and community. They join together to have fun, do mission projects and fellowship as they grow in their relationships with Christ and others. They meet monthly on Sundays.
